It was much harder for me to start than it is to continue on a deficit. I know, I didn't expect it. But veggies (fibre! The natural ozempic) and whole grains are a cheatcode. The hunger I get while on a healthy-ish diet is much, much more manageable than the hunger I get eating processed foods.
So I just wanted to say, don't be scared to start. I was super scared but as it turns out, it's surprisingly easy to stay in a deficit provided you don't overburden your system with mostly junk calories and stuff like white bread, rice or pasta. For me at least :)
