I'm using myfitnesspal to track calories because I refuse to pay for a calorie tracking app, but it is so annoying. I can type in something very specific like 1 morningstar buffalo patty and there are 5 different calorie amounts for it, despite the fact that the packaging has the amount on the back. So if it's something I don't have packaging for, I have to google calories because I don't trust the app to be accurate.
Then it's badgering me to track water intake. Tracking calories is tedious enough that I am not putting in effort to input my water consumption into the app. I get how that could be useful for some people, but there should be an option to turn it off.
And, my most recent frustration, if I go to "quick add", it only lets me add calories, and not what the food actually was, making it difficult to track meals over a period of time. But sometimes it's just faster to type it in myself than to scroll through a bunch of irrelevant options. I just want to be able to type in "rainier cherries" and the calorie amount. Again, not having to pay $50+ a year for the ability to do so. Anyone else frustrated using these apps?
