Seeking advice on staying consistent without the obsession.

I am a short female on a mission to drop about 20kg to reach a healthy weight. Back in 2023, I was lean without dieting. I just moved because it felt good and ate when I was hungry.

I have a history of eating disorders, so I am strictly avoiding aggressive cuts or anything that becomes an obsession. I want to build a body I love through simple and sustainable habits.
The problem is that I have been stuck in a cycle of fitness burnout. I kept forcing myself into intense workouts that I dreaded. It was exhausting and it did not work.

Recently, I pivoted to a simple and fun strength training program from Darebee. It feels like a movie training montage, and for the first time in ages, I am actually looking forward to the reps.

My struggle is the mental game. My birthday is in November, and I keep spiraling into thinking I need to look a certain way by then instead of focusing on the fact that I am showing up for myself today.

I am currently walking 10k steps, eating whole foods, and keeping things simple.
I could really use some wisdom from you all!
