I realized: to lose weight not only do I have to be in a calorie deficit, I need to change my whole mindset and my entire lifestyle.
Also, to achieve my so desired glow-up, it's not enough that I lose weight. I have to start to care for myself, I need to start to choose myself finally. I need to change my attitude towards myself and the things I want in life. The real glow-up happens not only physically, but mentally as well.
There are many things we can do for our well-being:
1. Put down that damn phone. Try to consume less toxic social media. Stop comparing yourself to people you don't even know.
2. Hydration. Drink at least 2 l of water every day.
3. Eat healthy. Not all the time obviously, too much restriction isn't good either, but what we put in our body really matters.
4. Take Magnesium supplements. They help a lot with sleep and stress management.
5. Exercise. Doesn't matter what, just move your body every day.
6. Skin care! You don't need a lot of products, just a few. Use sunscreen, it's especially important.
7. Set up boundaries with other people. Live for yourself, not for others. It's your life, not theirs.
8. Sleep more.
9. Do things that you genuinely enjoy, instead of doomscrolling, or destroying your own health with alcohol or drugs.
10. Be grateful for the things you have and don't forget to appreciate the small, beautiful things in life.
Stop being your own enemy.
