I’ve been on a 6 year weight loss journey. In 2020 I was at my heaviest, around 90kgs (f, 23y/o at the time) and I’d completely let myself go… I would drink, then eat an entire dominoes pizza, and an entire shared bag of crisps the next day when I was hungover. I never exercised, didn’t really take of myself and had gained 30kgs. I actually couldn’t bare to look in a mirror.
I tried loads of different things to lose weight: downloaded MyFitnessPal and ate 1200 calories because it told me to - ended up losing a bit of weight to start with but then it all came back, and I was just eating cuppa soup and pitta bread because they were low calorie. I went cold turkey on all my favourite foods but then the food noise would get so loud and I’d cave and go on a food binge. I even did a ‘water cut’ to try and lose weight that way (big regret)
Anyways… 6 years later I’ve actually lost 30kgs and kept it off, found a love of strength training, and can genuinely say I love myself and my body! But I tried so many things along the way that I regret now, and I’m curious, I can’t be the only one to have done so?
So what have you tried in the past to lose weight that you regret now??
