Advice for deficit

Hello I’m starting a weight-loss journey again, but I just want some advice while I get started to put in the back of my mind. I guess I should start with about 2 years ago I went from 290-220 (roughly). I had been pretty huge my whole teenage life so once I got down to 220 I got pretty comfortable in my body, at least more than before, along with my looks (my partner didn’t help since they were overly supportive with how I looked). I kept overeating and just not being consistent. I’m wanting to go back to calorie counting and weight-loss now though, I’m 230 (5’5) and I want to lose about 40 pounds just to get into the 100s, something I’ve never done before. I know I can do this, I know I’m close, I just want some advice on not how to stay motivated but disciplined. I need advice on if staying in a deficit only while I get to the 100s is good instead of over worrying myself with a gym schedule. I’m a housekeeper and am usually on my feet making beds and cleaning for minimum of 5 hours max of 8, so I know I’m decently active but not much outside of work. I don’t know if any of this info helps but I just want the best advice I can get. Also, is it okay to eat junk like pizza rolls and such even if you’re in a deficit? Won’t it cancel out with how unhealthy it is? Pls send tips !!
