Why do I notice no difference what so ever between before and after pics?

For context, I started at the beginning of the year at 104.5kg and I am now at 94.2kg.

I see people do 8 week challenges with before and after pictures and they have clear differences with smaller weight loss. Is there certain angles or lighting you should be using to take these pictures?

I make sure to take them in the same spot at the same time of day from all four sides and I look at the side by side and genuinely can't tell a difference between the pictures from the beginning of each month.

I don't really have anyone I can show the pictures to so I can get their thoughts. I know it's not the be all and end all though. I am down in both shirt and pant size and am seeing improvements in my health so that's what really matters to me, I'm just curious if there's any actual reason or science behind why I can't see a difference when their clearly should be something?
