Lost weight after 5 days of huge overeating?

For context I'm female and my daily calories are around 1400 as I'm sedentary.

Went on a holiday abroad and probably had around 4000-5000 calories every day. When I got home, I weighed myself and found I had lost 0.5kg? Weighed myself the next day and I was still the same- so it wasn't just one slightly off reading.

For the last week now that I'm home I've just been eating my regular 1400, sometimes even down to 1200, and I've found that the scale has risen by 1.3kg again. I'm so confused and not sure how to proceed
