How should weightlifting affect my weight loss journey?

Hi all, 25M who's been focused on weightloss since September of last year and currently down to around 85kg from 100kg, mostly by CICO (~1700 calories) combined with cardio 4-5 times a week.

Recently I have started weightlifting, and I am unsure about how best to approach this. It seems like hitting protein goals may be a struggle at the deficit I currently maintain, while I am also unsure whether it is worth continuing to aim for my 75kg goal or just maintain where I am when factoring in increased muscle mass/definition.

Has anyone else done something similar? What the best way to go about it? At the end of the day I just want to be a healthy weight and have some self-confidence in my image. Any responses are appreciated!
