Why I keep gaining weight?

Hello everyone!

I just turned 30. I’m 4'11 and currently weigh about 100 lbs. Just two months ago I was around 86–87 lbs, but my psychiatrist prescribed a medication that caused insomnia and weight gain. I did gain weight, but the strange thing is that I didn’t start eating more than before. I eventually stopped taking the medication because the insomnia was unbearable.

Lately I’ve also been going through some stressful situations. I’ve always been a naturally skinny person and usually don’t gain weight easily, so this change feels very unusual for me. Now I’m trying to lose the weight I gained, but it seems almost impossible.

My calorie intake is not even 900 calories a day. I use the treadmill for about 45 minutes every day. I actually love it and I’m a bit obsessed with it. I usually eat twice a day, which is common in my house. For breakfast I have a berry smoothie, and later I eat homemade food like white meat, quinoa, and vegetables.

I also drink coffee at least once a day and green tea at night (also, I drink a lot of water, I suffer from psychogenic polydipsia, but it's under control, so I only drink 1.5L a day). Because of all this, I’m not really sure what I might be doing wrong.

Could it be because I just turned 30 and my metabolism is changing?
Thank you!
