My body seems to react the same to fruits and berries as it does to desserts. Anyone else?

When I don’t eat well for breakfast, I find it impossible to eat well for the rest of the day. The cravings are too hard to manage. If I eat snacks and desserts later in the day, I’ll eat like garbage late at night.

For some reason, this is also true for me with fruit and berries. I know they have sugar in them, but I thought they’re supposed to be healthy. So why does my body treat them like I just ate a brownie?

Like brownies and ice cream, they’re not filling. I’m usually starving an hour after I eat them, even if they’re an ingredient in something that’s normally filling. And as far as calories or macros are concerned, the day is ruined once I eat one. Fruit and berries are basically a “cheat day” food for me.

I can’t be the only one whose body doesn’t want to accept fruit as healthy food. But I’m being told I’m crazy.
