Advice regarding long lasting weight loss journey

So I’ve been going to the gym consistently over the past months, and for about a month ago I got sick and had a 3 week break from the gym where I also didn’t keep my protein goals. Now I’ve gotten back in the gym and started taking Creatine simultaneously.

Something I’ve noticed is that the scale does not move down anymore. From what I’ve read online this is likely due to my body retaining water in the muscles. I drink around 2.5L of water everyday and my current body weight is 92.8kg while being 171cm (5”7) tall.

Truth is that I’m overweight and still wish to reach my current goal of 75kg. So I’m mainly wondering when I should consider switching strategy? I’ve read online that Creatine can make you gain up to 2kg of water, so I’m assuming while I’m losing fat right now the water is normalising the scale numbers.

I walk an average of 7500 steps everyday and train 4-5 times a week. I’ve also started to incude some form of cardio such as biking for 30 minutes whenever it fits.

How do/should I deal with this? I’m pretty focused on the scale numbers as it’s my main indicator that I’m losing weight.
