I've flipped from flabby to just skinny fat, how do I break the cycle?

Male 179cm.

1 month ago I looked in the mirror and was very unhappy with what I saw - quite a flabby belly and man boobs, despite being technically in the normal weight range. I weighed 74.2kg at the time. So I took up cardio and started calorie counting - not excessively because I didn't massively change my diet, but enough to make a difference without ever having cravings. I also did cardio using an exercise cycle, around 25-30min 3-4x/week burning what the machine claimed is 300cals per session, but thats my only exercise aside from walking to and from work.

1 month later I've lost 4kg - sitting currently at 70.3kg as of today. I'm definitely leaner and the man boobs and love handles are smaller. The belly isn't great though, and theres no abs. To be honest the end game was always abs which probably wasn't doing right. So I guess right now I'm simply skinny fat instead of just flabby? Looking online I keep hearing that I need to get the body fat % lower to around 10-12% and I'm sitting currently at 16.9% I calculated (waist circumference is 83cm). Thing is I really feel uncomfortable dropping below 70kg, and the calculators all say I'd need to drop to 65-67kg to achieve that 10% body fat calc.

So basically I feel I've flipped from flabby to skinny fat, and if I go further I've a nasty feeling I'll just be skinny and it'll look bad. Any tips for breaking out of this cycle and getting the body to a better place? Or are the calculators right and should I simply aim for the 65-67kg mark doing what I'm already doing?
