I’m a 20yr old guy. Last year I came home from college for summer and got into a huge argument with my mom, she was worried about my weight getting out of control (cus pops has diabetes) and my bloodwork was not looking good.
I’m down to 172 from 264 now and physically I feel the best I have ever felt. Back and knee pain gone, not exhausted from stairs, can talk w/o going out of breath, et cetera.
Now my mother calls me and occasionally comments that I’ve lost too much and that she’s worried about my health. My bloodwork and resting heart rate are at their peak quality, and I have no hormonal issues.
I know she’s just a worrywart and I am grateful for having family that cares so passionately, but it doesn’t make me happy seeing her worry about something she should not be worrying about. Can anyone relate? If so, have they been successful in calming their parents/family/SO/whoever else?
