Tips for losing with PCOS

Hello everyone šŸ‘‹

I’m at the very beginning of a weight-loss journey and would really appreciate some advice, encouragement, and inspiration from people who’ve been in a similar position.

I’m looking to lose around 50 lbs and I have PCOS, so I’ve learned (through trial and error) that I generally do best with higher protein, healthy fats, and lower-carb eating. I’m also pescatarian, so I eat fish and seafood but no meat, which sometimes makes meal planning feel a bit trickier, especially when trying to prioritise protein.

At the moment I’m aiming for around 1600 calories per day, focusing on balanced meals rather than perfection, and I’m also trying to gradually increase my activity levels (mostly walking plus gentle strength work). I’m really trying to build sustainable habits rather than rush things, but it can still feel overwhelming at the start.

I’d love to hear:

- Success stories from anyone who’s lost weight with PCOS

-Meal ideas or go-to recipes that are high protein and PCOS-friendly

-Any tips that helped you stay consistent (mindset, routines, tracking, etc.)

-Recommendations for recipe books, blogs, or creators that cater to pescatarian / high-protein / low-carb eating

I know PCOS weight loss can be slow and non-linear, so I’m trying to be patient and kind to myself but hearing what’s worked for others would really help me stay motivated.

Thanks so much in advance šŸ’™
