Worried about regain

Hello,

A few months back I promised myself that I will finally make a change, and lose weight.

I started at ~254lbs and I am at 209.4lbs, my "first goal" is to reach 198.4lbs, once I reach that goal I want to then slim down to 176-180lbs to be at a healthy weight for my height of 6ft.

but my methods for losing those first ~40lbs where not practical and to be honest not healthy, so I am worried about gaining all that weight back. I swore off sugar and bread until I reach my first goal, and after that I will reintroduce them back into my life (probably keep the sugar off for the most part as honestly I do not miss it that much), but I am worried that once I re introduce those things back that I will end up spiraling back into my older habits.

The reason for my success so far is that I stayed true to myself, and I was extremely harsh on myself (again a lot of non-healthy decisions but I cant lie and say that I am not proud of myself), after my first goal I want to start going to the gym and aim to get some definition going, but also know that I will have a big feast the day I reach 198.4lbs, just to enjoy myself a little, then figure out a whole new routine to continue my cut in a not so aggressive way.

Anyone who went through this or is going through this or just want to share their opinions are more then welcome, and I thank this community for being with me through out all my attempts and challenges I faced. I love yall!
