Counting calories and eating out is ROUGH!

So I'm in my first week of calorie counting and overall I've done really well!

However, I am struggling with not being able to properly count calories when I'm at a restaurant.

Most fast food places have a nutrition section that tells you how many calories their food options have as well as fat, carbs, etc. But not all sit down restaurants have this. This goes for family gatherings and potlucks as well.

So how do you count it? Do you just portion control it using your eyes and save some for later? Do you find a few similar recipes online and pick the one with the most calories to be safe?

Obviously choosing the healthier options on the menu is the most ideal, but even then those calories add up.

I have noticed that I already have a strong preference for eating at home now. It's so much easier 😅😅.
