I am on a weight loss journey from 120kg (260lbs) to currently at 111kg (244lbs). I am 41 y/o man 187cm (6 foot 2)
I weighed in at 213kg a few days ago and the day after that I ate at an all you can eat korean bbq place. I stuffed myself. The past couple days I've eaten regularly but instead of snacks I've just drunk some lowish-carb mint choco protein powder shakes i make with ice, water, and extra 0 calorie sweetner. The result has been that instead of ending the week up in weight as I expected, I lost 2kg (around 5lbs)
The protocol is simple. I eat lunch and dinner and finish them up with a shake, which is delicious and tastes minty so I get that "just brushed my teeth" effect of not eating more food.
then later at night when i get hungry, I just drink another shake. the protein kills the hunger and the mint gives the "brushed teeth" aversion to snacking more feeling.
So far this feels like a killer way to drop weight effortlessly.
