Reached 79kg - Been told to start strength training/body recomp but unsure about the plan/results

Hi all, some info if it helps:

M - 32 yrs - 169cm. I used to weigh 140kg (308lbs) and CICO the last 2.5 years to 79kg (174lbs). With a goal of 5000kj to 6000kj a day (1195 Cal to 1434 Cal).

I still unfortunately pack fat in my abdomen/chest, while my legs have some muscle definition (yay).

Friends (and A I) are telling me to stop cutting so hard and start strength training/body recomp instead. So I've upped my intake to 6000kj to 7000kj (1434 Cal to 1673 Cal), mild strength training 3 times a week + my sport + walks + creatine. But protein intake seems to sit under 100g.

I've cut for so long so this extra intake is really worrying me incase I'm over estimating already or if its a bad plan. The past 2 weeks my weight has been fairly stable, I guess I see some muscle definition on my arms but my abdomen chest isn't going down. Is this really the right way to go? Should I instead be cutting more calories until I'm at a better BMI? Any tips for others whose gone through a similar point. Cheers!
