okay so a few things - i’m a very, very socially anxious teenager, i’m overweight and i have an extremely sedentary lifestyle 😠i’ve thought about just sucking it up and going to the gym but i think id freak out after arriving. it’s a big jump from where im at now (comfort wise) so ive decided something easier like walking at a park would be best for me currently.
im doing online school this year so i’ve been extra lazy but im trying to get better before ~jan 1st and get my body & mind back into the routine of activity and doing things. after the new year i want to be able to add something a little harder (ex: lifting, sports, etc) but even before then, i still want to see some results. can i get these results from walking combined with a calorie deficit? i’ve also heard a lot of people say they bought the under desk walking pad things to get activity in while doing work, but i hear mixed reviews; a lot of people say they stop working after a year, some people say they’re too loud and distracting. i have some days — specifically wednesdays — where the workload is kinda too much to get out of the house, or even out of my room, so i think a combination of something that i can use while doing other things AND going somewhere nice like a park would be best for me. but, again, i don’t know how much just walking would help for the next few months. does anybody have any experiences?
