how do you maintain self control while in a calorie deficit?

Unfortunately I work in a kitchen where snacking on the food is allowed. This seems to be my biggest downfall when it comes to weight loss. I have been trying to eat in a deficit and often meal prep and have meals and snacks planned for the day. I allow small treats within the day to keep my cravings satisfied as well. But I just find it SO HARD to say no to food when it’s right in front of me. This also applies at home because I still live with my parent and they do majority of the food shopping (besides what I buy for my meal prep). has anyone experienced this and has any advice?
