Why are some people not helpful?

I have the same old story as everyone else - I have struggled with my weight my whole life, have lost a lot of weight on two occasions, then since my second kiddo, I have stacked it on worse than before and have been having trouble losing it.

It's been 7 years and can I longer call it baby weight 😂

So. I joined weight watchers three days ago, for some accountability , and a novel approach.

I told my therapist about it today and she kind of pulled a face and said there's lots of reasons she doesn't like WW. I told her it's for my health and also because I feel better in myself when I'm not this big, and it turns out she's against dieting and asked why I feel better in myself when I'm smaller.

Surely feeling better about myself by fitting into my old clothes; being able to move easier; taking pressure off my joints and whatnot are valid reasons to want to lose weight?

Also, thanks to the person on here who posted "you don't hear of people getting fat from eating too much fruit" the other week. That was really helpful in changing my thinking and motivation. There's too many conflicting bits of advice and it gets overwhelming.
