hello, im new to this sub! i am a 21 yr old female whose height is 5’4 and i currently weigh 181.4 lbs. i am looking to lose some weight. my goal is to be able to fit into medium sized clothing again without it feeling constricting. i can’t even wear some of my favorite shirts because ive outgrown them and it makes me sad to think about. i don’t like the way i look or the way i feel in this body. ive gotten very lazy these past few years and i want to do something about it.
it’s very hard for me to stay motivated and keep the momentum going. i’ve tried working out in the past but inevitably i give up on whatever it is im trying to do. i don’t have the money for a gym membership right now so i was thinking of things i can do at home, on my own. are there any easy exercises i can do? i know walking is a very common thing to do but the weather has been unbearable lately so im waiting for it to cool down. i was wondering if calisthenics was a good place to start but i can’t even do a push up without struggling.
my diet probably isn’t the best either. i feel like i tend to overeat or just eat a lot of junk food in general. it’s not easy to give up on the things i usually enjoy. are there certain foods that help you lose weight or foods you should avoid? i want to eat healthier but i still want to be able to enjoy my meals without feeling like im missing out on something. please let me know.
