Low calorie burning throughout the days- bit of a rant

I lost all the weight that I needed to loose and for the first time ever I'm ready to now focus on maintenance. Insane because I spent years trying and failing at this but it worked in the end once I found what works.

Thing is, of course, my new maintaining calories needed are so much less that my old maintaining calories needed. According to calculators I found online, at my heaviest which was overweight, I was burning around 2,000 cals a day in maintenance while exercising only 1-3 days a week. (I am short haha)

Now, according to the same calculators, my new maintenance with 1-3 days of exercise is around 1,500. Which is ok to do, I have spent a long time slowly loosing the weight which is why it worked TBH, because I gave myself time to get used to the lifestyle and truly make it habitual.

And it makes sense because I was eating 1,400 at my deficit, and now I noticed that the weight kinda stopped dropping on its own since I have been burning a similar amount just because I weight less and my body has less mass to carry.

I would still like to increase my daily calorie burn though, it would make it easier to eat more protein, good fats and I see food as fuel now. It would help me get more nutrients.

I have researched about reverse dieting back to maintenance but my question is, can a reverse diet work if I am basically already eating at the scientifically calculated maintenance now? Because if I increase my calories I fear it would just put me in a surplus since my body just doesn't need that energy?

For context I feel great, I have energy all day long, I am moving more and I noticed that ever since I stopped loosing the weight (aka as I got closer to my true maintenance) I am doing much more neat movement like cleaning and putting in more energy on daily things. Which now that I'm typing this, I realize that that's because my body is getting enough cals. Thanks if you listened :) this group has really helped me in my journey
