For those of you in the normal weight range trying to lose the last few kilos with a small intake (around 1200–1300 kcal/day), how do you analyse your data? Do you look at weekly calories averages against weekly weight averages? I’m not sure what’s the best way to judge if I’m actually in a deficit or just stuck at maintenance because progress is very slow. I have data from the last two months and trying to analyse it.
Also, I sometimes end up with a higher day (like 1700–1800 kcal) and wonder how others adjust for that — do you go lower on the following days, or just stick to your averages? I also wonder if we’re even “allowed” higher-calorie days (like 1700–1800 kcal) at this point, since they seem to affect progress a lot. Curious how others in a similar spot approach this. Would appreciate your thoughts based on your experience.
