I love having sweet drinks with my meals on the weekend, so I switched to zero sugar options (diet lemonades, coke zero, etc…) and I used to still feel stuffed even 6 hours after my meal. Now that I cut out the sugar in my drinks, I’m feeling hungry again 6 hours later??? I thought eating sugar was supposed to make you feel hungrier!! not the opposite!!
Is there something in diet drinks specifically that makes your feeling of fullness dissipate more quickly??
Or does cutting out real sugar actually make you hungrier and I never knew??
(note: YES i’m drinking my daily water, and I only have sweet drinks on the weekend)
