Losing 50 pounds… and gaining it back

In 2023 this subreddit helped me (M22) go from 230 LBS down to 175 LBS.

I have never felt more accomplished and proud of myself in my entire life than that time period.

Unfortunately over time my habits slowly started to slip. I ended up moving in 2024 and with that move came a lot of stress and I ended up resorting to my old coping mechanisms again (soda, fast food, desserts, etc.)

Within a year and a half I was back to being 230 pounds again.

It sucked. I lost my confidence, the girl I had been dating for a year ended our relationship due to my weight, and for the last few months I have been in a pretty hopeless place.

I guess I’m here because I think I’m ready to get back on the horse again and I was wondering if there was anyone who has been in my situation who might be able to give me some advice/words of encouragement for my second attempt at weight loss.
