So about 1.5 - 2 years ago I lost about 55lbs, I tracked my calories daily, reduced portion sizes, swapped in some law cal options, and eventually started hitting up the gym. I’m a 35 year old man, went from 305lbs to 250ishlbs.
Then I fell off, slowly at first, but now I’m back up to my starting weight, plus 10lbs. I’m terrified of trying again, it’s almost pathological, I feel like since I failed before there is no reason for me to even start recording calories again; and anytime I do, I tend to self-sabatoge and binge eat that day.
Im sure therapy or counseling will be a suggestion, but I’m also struggling to find therapists who have the speciality of eating disorders who are willing to work with men in my area - so really specific advice to help with finding someone who could help me there would be awesome.
