I want to start eating in a calorie deficit. My BMR is 1678 calories. I go on leisurely 1-1.5 hour walks about 4 times a week. How many calories do I need to eat per day to lose 1 pound per week? I tried to use this app and it says that I need to eat 1800 calories a day to lose 1 pound per week. I’m fine with doing that, but I got worried that since it is barely above my BMR that I won’t be getting enough energy and could end up slowing my metabolism in the long run. I need to lose about 90 lbs if that makes any difference. Please give me any advice or suggestions. All will be appreciated.
