Hi all,
I’ve been on a weight loss journey for about two months now (tried to lose before for longer periods but it never stuck, and I ended up just giving up) and I’ve been trying to eat around 1550 calories per day (5’4” F, and around 180lbs), with a 40 min walk every day and kettlebell strength training twice a week. Everything was going so well, and I’ve been tracking my average weight loss over the week and been so happy with how it’s been steadily trending downwards at a good rate – until today.
Stepped on the scale this morning and I’ve somehow gained 4lbs. I know logically it’s most likely just a fluctuation, but it feels so high, and I’m really struggling to keep going and see this through. It feels like all the work I’ve done over the past 2 months has just been completely undone and there’s no point to doing anything anymore and I should just eat until I explode.
Any tips for fighting back against the voice in your head saying that you’re the only person in the world for who calorie counting and exercise doesn’t lead to weight loss?
