Tips pls (my first week)

Exercise: what are some easy at home exercises I can do with no equipment? I’m a full time student and employed full time. My goal is to lose 50 lbs. I’m 5’10 and 230 lbs and I’m hoping to get to 180 but I don’t have a lot of time for exercise

Eating: what kinds of food does everyone eat to cut cravings between meals, how important is reaching my protein goal? How important is it to not go over my daily sugar goal? (I am also struggling to find foods that aren’t fruits and vegetables or multi grain bread that doesn’t contain a lot of sugar so suggestions there would also help a bunch!!) Probably dumb but I was talking to my mom about dieting and she said that I shouldn’t cut back on calories or my body will hold onto the weight, true or false?

Habits: idk if anyone else struggles with this but I find myself finishing any meals I’ve made even when I’m full, I was taught to finish my food before leaving the table nd I’m stuck in that mindset, how do I break that? As stated above I’m a full time student and employed full time so I’m awake for about 18 hours a day (some days longer) how do I curb cravings that I would normally not have to worry about while sleeping

Beverages: I see conflicted results when seeing how much water I should be drinking, 64oz, half my body weight etc. how do I know how much water I should be drinking a day? Also do liquid calories matter as much as calories from food?

Any advice would help, link articles if you have any that have been helpful, I’m very determined to lose this weight.
