Diet Fatigue: switching to Maintenance after 7 years

MyFitnessPal says maintenance is around 2500kcal - but for some reason it was set to "lose 0.75kg per week", so my target per day was 1650kcal.

No wonder I felt weak and low on energy all the time! No more.

I heard the term "diet fatigue" on Renaissance Periodization first, a fantastic YouTube channel on the science of muscle growth - and Dr. Mike speaks about how it can hit you after several months.

I've been doing this shit for almost 8 years! (not on such a heavy deficit though)

Time to change it up, and to reset my body and my mind, and so what if I can a bit of weight - I need my sanity back!

My original goal for this year was to go from 23% bodyfat down to 15%. Not sure I'll still manage that, but so what.

I will start taking Dr. Mike's advice more seriously, having dedicated maintenance and cut periods, rather than just forever cutting.

Wish me luck!
