Body recomp tips? Female, early 40s, petite

Looking for tips on body recomposition. After being fit and healthy most of my life I've fallen into bad habits post kids and not looking or feeling like myself.

I'm technically on the upper end of a healthy weight (BMI of 22.5) but I'm 'skinny fat' with extra bulge on my stomach, back, and bum. I know the culprit - poor diet and not enough movement - and am rectifying both.

Any tips for losing a fairly modest amount of weight (5kg) but shift my body toward a higher % of lean muscle? I'm upping protein and beginning weight training again, but would appreciate any pointers about what macros and training regimen you've used in a similar scenario.

I'm short so unfortunately the extra fat/lack of muscle I'm carrying really shows, and I'm self conscious about it.
