I guess I’ve lost a fair amount from my highest recorded weight. Recently, within the last five months or so, I’ve lost around 13kg/30 pounds (maybe even 40, I didn’t check my weight at that exact moment). I moved to another city so haven’t seen friends/family from home during this time. A few people I saw when I went home for Christmas commented that I look like I’ve lost a fair amount of weight. I also ended up going to the store because all of my pants were too big, and I went down about a size in jeans (I’d say a size and a half, I feel like I could drop a size again somewhat soon if I keep progressing).
It’s nice to have some confirmations that progress is happening. Especially since I’ve mostly just been trying to watch my eating and walking a lot, I’ve yet to create a solid workout routine outside of walking and doing a lot of stairs. I’m hesitant to celebrate the victory because I have a hard time being optimistic. But I am feeling that hopefulness creep in.
I’d like to lose my next 9kg/20lbs and hit the 200 lbs mark a bit quicker but either way I’m excited to be this close to that milestone. Still a long way to go but things are looking up I guess.
