I am a 5'4 woman in her early 20's who weighs around 168 lbs. I started my weight loss journey in early 2024 at 198 so I've lost 30 lbs overall. I have been struggling with reoccurring nausea ever since I hit 15 lbs down. Ever since I hit 30 lbs lost, I've hit a plateau big time. Eating my calculated weight loss calories of 1600 and walking 5 miles every day has done absolutely nothing. I have tried taking my calorie consumption down to 1200-1300, and started to see progress, but then I get hit with unbearable nausea. I'm talking about head between my knees in the middle of the sidewalk on a walk with my mom type of nausea. It lasts all day and makes me miserable. On top of that, I have noticed my hair has lost a lot of its density. I actually spent a considerable time crying in the mirror over it tonight. In fact, now that I've become aware of my overweight body...I hate it more than I hated my body when I started. All I want is to be able to be a normal young adult and be lovable and healthy. I have a doctor's appointment later this month and I plan to bring up my symptoms. However, I'm extremely nervous because the last time I visited a doctor, I was lectured about my diet and body fat and none of my health concerns were taken seriously. I'm wondering if anyone else went through something similar and if it gets better?
