I’ve been on a weight loss journey for a few months now, and I’m excited to share my progress and seek your advice!
Starting Point and Goal:
- Starting weight: ~150 kg (started tracking at 142 kg)
 - Current weight: 133.3 kg
 - Goal weight: 100-110 kg
 - Height: 197 cm
 
What I’ve Been Doing:
- Calorie tracking: Using apps for input and weight tracking.
 - Diet changes: Reduced sugar intake, especially sweet drinks, while keeping my overall diet mostly the same.
 - Intermittent fasting: Followed 16/8 for most of the time but have been less consistent in the past few weeks.
 - Activity level: Limited due to joint issues, but I’ve been doing physiotherapy and occasional walks to improve fitness.
 
Tools and Data:
- A Fitness Tracker for tracking activity and caloric burn.
 - A smart scale for body fat, skeletal muscle, and accurate weight tracking.
 - An App for calorie and macronutrient tracking.
 
Challenges:
- Interpreting the data from my Fitness Tracker and smart scale.
 - Navigating a short plateau from November 28 to December 7, which I solved by decreasing my caloric intake.
 
What I’m Looking For:
- Reassurance: Am I on the right track?
 - Corrections: Feedback on my habits, especially macronutrient balance, caloric burn, and data accuracy.
 - Advice:
- Should I increase my activity levels despite joint issues?
 - How should I approach macronutrient goals?
 - Is my caloric deficit too high? My Fitness Tracker app always says that I eat not enough.
 - Should I focus more on muscle gain?
