Good morning all! I’m several months into working on maintenance, and have gradually been moving away from religiously counting calories everyday. I’ve also been focusing on weight training more than cardio, and have really seen some huge changes to my body, just leaner overall. Friends and family keep asking if I’m still losing, but I think it’s just the leaner effect of weight training. I’m currently a size 4 /XS - starting size was 22/2-3XL.
I haven’t weighed myself in a bit, and I got on the scale today and was up 4 pounds. I had a few minutes of panic that skipping counting has made me lose control, and had to do a bit of self talk off the ledge.
Reasonable me: 1. I don’t weigh every day anymore, and it’s prob just normal fluctuations. 2. I’ve been eating more carbs lately (not excess, just things like tortilla wraps) 3. Weight training might show up as heavier on the scale 4. I haven’t noticed any changes in how my clothes fit, in fact they’ve seemed looser
Freaked out me: 1. I’ve lost control and am gaining again.
Anyone else have some shocks in working through maintenance?
