Hi all. Covid gave me heart failure. After 2 heart surgeries, and an ICD unit, I am on my way back to recovery. I gained 40 lbs. of fluid in two months. It was super uncomfortable and painful. I want to lose it. I lost 87 lbs, and gained 34 lbs. going to a Eating Disorder Clinic for Binge Eating Disorder. I don't binge daily anymore. Thankfully. I need to lose weight for my diabetes. Truthfully, I want to stop taking the meds. My A1C used to be 5.5. It is in the 8's now. Eeek.
My nutritionist wants me to follow 1400 kcal daily. I will be walking 3 times a week for 2 miles at a baseline and build from there. I eventaully want to walk 5x a week at 2 miles. Long-term I want to walk 3-4 miles daily. My goal is to participate in 3-5k's next year.
I know consistency, discipline, and commitment wins. This is a matter of life and death for me. I no longer have time to play around.
My Day 1 is today. Good luck everyone! Rock your health program! Positive vibes.
