Hello! I am a 26 year old female, and two years ago I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Morton’s Neuroma. Since both diagnosis, I have been steadily gaining weight due to lack of exercise and eating to cope with the mental struggles that come along with my chronic conditions. I had surgery on my foot 6 months ago, and since then I have gained a lot of weight very quickly. My body is absolutely covered in stretch marks and I cannot bare to look at photos of myself or look in the mirror. I have gone through weight loss in the past through diets, but I yo-yo just like most people. I get very obsessive and go hard on the diet, but it ultimately proves to be unsustainable and I end up binging and being heavier than when I started. Because of this I am too afraid to do another diet or count calories, as I know my addictive personality cannot be healthy about it. Because of my chronic pain and the chronic fatigue that comes along with that, I find it very difficult to exercise everyday. I’m feeling a bit helpless in my desire to lose weight. I know my issue cannot be uncommon and I’m looking for any advice people have. Thanks for listening :)
