I have been trying to lose for years!!! 10 years ago I was diagnosed with T2D and have to take insulin to keep my blood sugars in range. I eat 1600 calories a day. I avoid food that are high glycemic index and limit my carbs altogether (about 30% of my daily nutrition is carb). I work out 5 days a week, swimming, weight training, and biking. I have struggled to lose for the last 6 months by doing all these things and haven’t lost a pound; in fact, I have watched the scale go up!!! Last week I stopped taking my insulin (for reasons) and have immediately seen 11 lbs off in 8 days! Anybody else experienced this frustration? Were you able to balance your blood sugars and also lose weight, and if so…how???
