(28M 185 cm) I've been obese and sedentary most of my life and reached a maximum of 148 kg. In November 2022, I finally decided to start my weight loss journey by dieting and weightlifting in the gym. I made great progress and reached 105 kg by the end of 2023. But then I was on a plateau for a few months. I got frustrated so I decided it was best to go on a diet break for around a month in March eating whatever I wanted still consistently going to the gym. I then started "part 2" of my diet by restricting my diet more while still trying to prioritise protein. It's been going well and a few days ago I finally hit 100 kg.
