I’m 29 yo 5’7” F weighing 143-148 lbs and have been trying to get to 135 for over 8 months.
I’ve been in a calorie deficit (eating 1500 calories a day), weighing food and tracking everything. I workout cardio + strength 3-4 days a week, active rest days between of yoga or long walks, hitting move goals. I eat balanced, including hitting ~75 grams of protein a day. I don’t eat more than 1500 unless I’ve done a workout that’s 600+ calories, like a long hike, and will eat ~200 more that day.
I’ve not lost any weight, nor am I slimmer than I was. Slight body recomp with muscle, but it is not very significant.
I got my thyroid checked and it’s fine.
Completely at a loss as to what I should be doing differently. It’s incredibly disheartening, and so difficult to want to continue calorie counting and finding time to work out so much with a busy life.
I’d love to hear if I’m not alone in this or if there’s something I can try to do. I’ve tried everything I have been able to find.
