Hello everyone :).
Due mainly to anxiety eating and lack of motivation I have been very heavy for some years now.
I became a father to my twins last year, and I made a promise to them that I will achieve a normal weight and become fit again, they deserve no less than a healthy parent.
At the beginning it was going very well, I went down from 135kg, to 117kg from October till christmas. The problem is that for the last 3 months I've been stuck due to the kids being bigger and demanding more attention, the main problems:
- Lack of sleep, I average 3-4 hours per night at most
- Lack of time, if during the mornings I am not working, I must do chores, manage personal stuff, etc. Since the kids are in the separation anxiety phase, it's out of the question going to work out during the afternoons/evenings.
- Lack of proper meals. We were very good on track cooking and eating only healthy meals, but currently we do not have the time or mental energy to cook most of the time, so even if I am eating less quantity, it's worse food, or I end up binging due to anxiety or extreme hunger.
I know this situation is not ideal and will get better in time, but I would still like to continue my progress, even if slower, and to get back my lost discipline. At least I managed not to regain any weight.
Currently my only exercise is walking. I try to do it a lot with the stroller, so everyone gets a lot of fresh air, but is there any short exercise routine what would help me improve my fitness and help with the weight loss? I think I could manage to squeeze some 15 minutes everyday during work time.
Also I read the sub and everyone is talking about counting calories, how do you do that? I just try to eat less and more healthy, but maybe I am doing something else wrong.
Sorry if my questions are stupid, I am just mentally exhausted all the time, but I want to keep motivated to improve, and hearing some advice from people with similar problems will help.
