kinda gross but necessary question about diet changes and gut health

So fair forewarning that this is going to be an awkward and somewhat gross question, but I am trying to figure out what exactly went wrong, here. So I decided to get my proverbial ducks in a row today and finally started my dieting/eating clean adventure, and I managed to make it through the entire day eating extremely healthily, (until I blew it a bit after dinner by having some sugar free goodies.) That said, however, I still gave a valiant attempt, and managed to eat primarily whole foods all day long, with fruit and yogurt for breakfast, salad for lunch, and salmon/veggies for dinner. All was going swimmingly, until I ended up going to the loo later on and ended up having the worst case of di- di I've ever had to suffer through D:. ( My apologies for that mortifying image. ) But yes, I am wondering.... why did this happen? My first assumption was that it's because I was introducing a lot of new things to my diet that I don't normally get a lot of- most notably all the fiber from the large amount of vegetables, and also the fat from the fish, (plus added fat from already having had a dose of fish oil in supplement form that morning,) but I am wondering which of these sudden dietary changes would have been the most likely culprit to have caused this to occur so that I can make adjustments and avoid having this happen again?? I want to start eating healthier, eating more vegetables and less junk, and all that jazz so I can lose weight, but I also don't want to have that come at the cost of potentially having to run to the bathroom all the time either!
