Hi all, I'm a 25, M, I'm 163cm and currently weigh 110kg.
I've been struggling with my weight since I was 20, but I never thought it would get this far. Yesterday, I weighed myself, thinking I'd still be 108kg from Feb but...no, 110kg.
I decided I wanted to change. I'm tired of not being able to walk to the supermarket and back, I'm tired of my lower back hurting all the time, and I'm tired of being tired!
This isnt my first time trying, but I'm hoping it will be the last (at least the last time I weigh this much). Multiple times in the past, I've managed to lose maybe 5-8kg and then gain it all back again as some stress came up.
I have...some idea of what I need to do. Eat well, manage portions, and exercise, but other than that, I know nothing. I am under a dietitian on the NHS, but the support they offer is minimal at the moment.
I want to focus on getting down to 100kg before I think about losing more.
I need to lose weight to improve my health (I know that's not the case for everyone), I need to lose it in order to qualify for a surgery I want/need, and I just want to be able to be strong again!
So yeah, day 2, can't exercise today bc my partner is home and I feel embarrassed exercising around other people (bad gym experience lol), so I'm exercising as much as I can when they go into work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays! I hope to not be embarrassed at some point, because I want to trust them not to make fun of me and because I love working out at home!
