I am currently 71.5kg at only 5’2 (22F, almost 23). I’m ashamed of myself because I spent 2021 losing weight and getting to an ideal 56kg only to gain it back due to stress eating.
Although I lost the weight, I realised I didn’t build any muscle. I’ve been doing Pilates for 6 months now and have started to gain muscle, but I’m looking bulky since I’m still overeating.
There’s this girl who walks her dog near my workplace every morning (or at least when I’m going to the office). She has washboard abs, and she’s not bulky, she’s lean. And today was the last straw for me, she walks past a bunch of us at the coffee shop. People couldn’t stop staring, both men and women. And the men were like “whoa”. She was literally that fit and attractive.
I look at my bloated core and think “that’s my goal”. I want abs and to be more toned, and to also lose around 15-20kg as well.
Was wondering if anyone could give me tips in building muscle, but not looking too bulky (want to look more lean and toned). I’ve been trying to eat more protein, curb my stress/comfort eating (chocolate is my weakness) and doing at least 2x Pilates per week and 2x cardio but was wondering if anyone could give me any tips?
