So I’m a female in my late twenties currently trying to lose 10kg. I’m already 73.5kg so a healthy weight for my height, but I’m wanting to get a little leaner.
For the past 3 weeks I’ve been counting my calories meticulously, eating 1400-1500 a day including high protein, weighing all my food and sauces and not eating out once. In addition to this I’ve stepped up my gym routine, I was already a casual gym goer but now I’m going 3-4 times a week, where I do more weightlifting (alternating between upper and lower body days) and then 30 minutes of incline cardio. I’ve been pushing myself during these workouts and get DOMS after. I also drink 2.5 litres of water a day.
I wasn’t expecting the weight to budge right away, I’ve lost weight in the past and I know the pattern. But I’m starting to get frustrated now. I weigh myself every day using Happy Scale to monitor water weight and fluctuations.
In my first 2 weeks I lost half a kilo which I was happy with because at least it was progress. But since then, my weight has gone back to my original weight and it’s starting to get to me.
What am I doing wrong?
