Starting weightloss journey

Hi, I’ve been putting this off because of my various medical issues but it’s time. I’m a senior in college and really depressed so I’ve let myself gain about 25-30 lbs in 3 years. I’m not happy about it at all. My current frame is so unhealthy and I look chronically 4 months pregnant. I have a gym membership that I haven’t even used yet, bad eating habits and a sedentary lifestyle. I’m looking for general advice, since I’m a noob and was thinking of eating oatmeal for breakfast, salad with protein for lunch and soup for dinner, plus working out for 45mins-1hour every single day. I’m not in a hurry to lose it all, but I also want to progress noticeably within the year (for my own mental health).
