Getting frustrated with plateau

I posted this on xxfitness but it was deleted and was told it would be better to post it here.

My highest weight ever was 280lbs. After years of yo yo dieting I was able to get down to 199lbs in January of this year. For starters I’m 5’8. From January to June I was able to get down to 177lbs. I achieved this just from weight lifting and doing little to no cardio. In June I upped my cardio tremendously and was getting 12k-14k steps everyday while eating in a 1000cal deficit (1400cal a day). The weight melted off and by August I hit 159lbs.

The problem is I have can’t get below 159lbs. In August my weight fluctuated badly and I’m currently stuck at 162lbs. I upped my steps to 18k-20k steps every single day and weight lift 3x a week. I also run 2 miles 2x a week. I’m now eating no more than 1500cal a day but I’m not losing the weight. I weigh everything that goes into my body and have had only 2 cheat days since January. My goal is 145lbs but I’m not sure if that is attainable for me.

I haven’t had a diet break and don’t know if its time to take one. I’m just annoyed because I should’ve been at my goal weight by now but the scale isn’t budging. I recently upped my water intake and I’m trying to figure out if that’s the issue but I’m not sure. I haven’t gained in my measurements. I’ve lost .5 around my hips and 1in around my waist since August.

What are my options guys? I really want to get to 145lbs by November so I can finally eat at maintenance. I currently like the way my body looks but I just want to see what I will look like at 145lbs. I was obese my whole life so seeing myself be the “average” weight for my height is a goal of mine. Any advice would be helpful
