Hey y'all!
I am so confused. I started a week ago today. I'm not counting calories (that tends to make me get really obsessive), but I'm keeping a food journal and exercising a lot more. This went great for the first half of last week. I dropped down to 149 (from 152) and was feeling really good. Then, the other night, I started having abdominal cramps. This isn't too uncommon for me, so I just plugged along. Well, yesterday morning I jumped to just over 151. I thought I might just be constipated, so I didn't worry about it. Today I'm up to 152.6. Higher than my starting weight! I truly don't understand what's happening. Looking back over my food journal, I've definitely not been eating enough for this to happen, and I've been exercising a ton! For example, yesterday I had around 2,000 calories (certainly more than I was shooting for, but I was really hungry and wanted to listen to my body) and walked over six miles. How am I gaining weight? What is happening?
